Now I know.
The saliva of those insects that persistently bite you may actually boost your immunity to the diseases that their relatives carry later. This has been documented in a disease afflicting soldiers coming back from Iraq, leishmaniasis. Now a study in mice has shown mosquito saliva can protect against malaria. Amazing, huh?

Crazy, I see in the next 10 years these diseases will hardly affect the first world..it'll take another 50 to get the rest of the world up-to-date
